Welcome to Pyhätunturi

Pyhätunturi

The town we’re located in – Pyhätunturi – is situated in eastern Lapland, in the north of Finland. While we’re only 1.5 hours away from Rovaniemi international airport, we’re located right in the middle of pure, pristine nature. The nearest city Kemijärvi is 50km away. While our town is small, it has all the services and amenities travelers need – and our guides, business owners and locals are keen to share this gem of Lapland with guests from all over the world.

Our small town has great high-quality restaurants, as well as activity companies and a supermarket. Everything you need is right here and within walking distance.

Enjoying the nature

Lapland is a nature lovers paradise, and the fun doesn’t stop at the border of the national park. Finland has a law called everyman’s law, which states that you can commune by foot in nature anywhere, so exploring these northern boreal woods is a breeze, and completely legal – and most of all, a 100% safe if you’re well equipped.

Our staff and guides are happy to help you plan your own excursions and help with understanding the extent of these laws. Remember to take your camera with you!
